About Mainbrace

Robert Peile, a chartered accountant, and principal created Mainbrace Pty Limited in 1995 to provide specialist advice and consultation to small and medium business enterprises on Australian and international taxation law and practice; accountancy advisory services; corporate insolvency, recovery, reconstruction and intensive care; self-managed superannuation, business, financial and management issues and practice.

Prior to the establishment of Mainbrace Pty Limited Robert was the tax and insolvency partner of the Sydney practice of Sothertons, a national firm of chartered accountants. Many of Robert’s formative years were spent in the taxation and insolvency specialist divisions of Price Waterhouse Coopers and Hamilton & Ferrier.

Robert has also been responsible for the establishment of an international yacht charter business with operations in Europe, Asia and Australia.

Robert’s current qualifications are:

• Bachelor of Commerce, University of New South Wales
• Associate Member Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand;
• Chartered Tax Advisor The Tax Institute;
• Registered Company Auditor;
• Registered Liquidator;
• Registered Taxation Agent;
• Registered Self Managed Superannuation Fund Auditor;
• External Examiner to the Law Society of New South Wales;
• Member Association of Independent Insolvency Practitioners; 
• Member SMSF Auditors Association of Australia Ltd;
• A Justice of the Peace.
